New Centre

The official opening of this new state of the art Centre costing over €1.4.m to date is testament to the strong partnerships and steadfast community support that have been developed. Funding has come from a variety of sources ranging from church gate collections and flag days, to support from Bon Secours Hospital Community Fund, Dormant Accounts, Rapid Funding, and both capital and revenue funding from the HSE.

Over the years the residential centre and the day centre have both benefited from placements from participants on FAS Community Employment Schemes who not only provided additional workers but also provided valuable work experience for participants on the scheme. Many groups and organisations supported the building fund with CD sales and fashion show run by the students of Mercy Mounthawk School, to cookery demonstrations and proceeds from the Rotary Ball in 2011, Christmas Carol singing by An Post etc once again demonstrating the great support and high esteem that Baile Mhuire has in the local community.
