It was agreed to convert the existing facility into an interim Day Service to assess the demand for Day Services while at the same time the design and funding portfolio for the new premises was put in place. In 2011 Baile Mhuire opened an interim Day Care Centre within the environs of the existing respite facility. The centre provided Day Care for approx 18-20 persons however the demand for the service far exceeded what the centre can provide.
